Harald Dialer leads the Growth business area for Renewable Fuels and Chemicals, as well as Corporate Innovation and Investment Management, at UPM-Kymmene, the Finnish materials solutions company. He is a member of UPM’s Group Executive Team.
Harald brings extensive leadership experience from the global chemical industry. Prior to joining UPM in 2025, he served as Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer of HCS Group. Earlier in his career, he held multiple senior and executive leadership roles at Clariant and Süd-Chemie, including leadership of the catalyst business and the Corporate Excellence program. He began his professional career as a researcher at BASF.
Throughout his career, Harald has been a driving force behind transformative initiatives and has played a key role in advancing sustainable and renewable chemicals and fuels projects. In addition, he is actively engaged on behalf of the European chemical industry through various roles within CEFIC, where he champions the scale-up of bioeconomy and renewable solutions.
